In Budapest visit the very beautiful Dohany Synagogue, along with the Jewish Museum and Holocaust Memorial.  Take a boat ride down the Danube to the quaint artist's village of Szentendre and see the smallest synagogue in the world.  During the summer visit JDC's Camp for children seeing donated dollars at work.

The magical city of Prague is a joy to visit.  The Jewish Section of Old Town brings you to the Alta/Neu Synagogue, Jewish Cemetery, where you can see the  tombs of Rabbi Lowe and Mordechai Maisel, the Spanish and Maisel Synagogues.  Cross the historic Charles Bridge to the Golden Lane where Kafka lived.  On to the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral.  A day visit to Terezin, the "show-case" concentration camp is a must from Prague.

Tour Venice where the word "ghetto" originated. In Rome see the amazing statue of Moses and visit the beautiful synagogue and museum. There are many ancient Jewish ruins throughout Italy, time is your only constraint.

Begin this adventure with a tour in Venice, Italy.  Continue either by small ship or bus to Trieste, formerly in Yugoslavia now in Italy.  Visit the synagogue and Jewish museum.  On to Split in Croatia – walk through the walled city with Roman ruins and up-scale elegant shops.  Proceed to Dubrovnik an ancient walled city on the sea.  Visit the beautiful centuries-old synagogue that to this day serves the Jewish community.  Meet with the Jewish community.  Next, on to the small walled city of Kotor in Montenegro.  Drive through the surrounding hills and visit a winery.

Portugal - An excellent destination to see medieval Jewish sites, as well as a vibrant Jewish community in the mountain village of Belmonte.  Here  150  Crypto-Jews  re-converted  to  Judaism.  Meet with them and visit their recently constructed synagogue. Hear archeologists tell why they feel compelled to discover the ancient Jewish sites and synagogues all over the Iberian Paninsula.  Listen to the haunting sounds of "Fado" music in a Lisbon cafe.

Spain - Explore the Jewish sites of ancient Gerona and Figueres near Barcelona. In Toledo visit Santa Maria la Blanca, once a synagogue and then a church. In Toledo also tour El Greco's house. In Cordoba visit the synagogue and mosque to remind us of the "Golden Age" of Spain.   There are  excellent museums through-out the country.  Meet with members of Jewish communities.

Germany - Past, Present and Future. Begin in Strasbourg, meet members of the Jewish Community, visit the Unterlinden and Bartholdi Museum and Synagogue. Visit the Bischeim Jewish Cemetery, Mikve,  Synagogue and JCC. Nearby is Dachau. In Berlin tour Check Point Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Old Reichstag, Wannsee Conference Site (where the 'final solution' was carried out) & the new Jewish Museum. Meet members of Jewish Communities.

Poland - Begin in Warsaw, visit the Jewish Cemetery. On to the Umschlagplatz where the Jews were loaded into the wagons bound for Treblinka and other death camps. Walk to the bunker at Mila 18 and the Ghetto Heroes Monument. Visit the Nozyk Synagogue. Walk through Old Town. On the way to Krakow, stop in Kazimierz Dolny, a medieval town which was 85% Jewish before World War II. Stop in Lublin. Tour quaint Krakow, the ancient capital of Poland. Visit Jewish sites. Tour Auschwitz-Birkenau with a special Guide.

Meet members of the Jewish Community and deliver much needed humanitarian aid to the synagogues, which will be dispursed to all Cubans in need. Walk through Habana Vieja (Old Havana) and see what once was a beautiful   city.  Hear the exciting music of Cuba.  Travel outside of Havana to very small Jewish communities  - meet with Jewish people and hear their stories.

Turkey - The exotic city of Istanbul brings you the aroma of ancient spices.  Visit the Blue Mosk, watch the boats traverse the Bosphurous.  Visit the wonderful Bazaar and the Spice Market.  Tour the Jewish sections of the city and see the synagogues.  Outside of Istanbul wonderful sights await you:  besides ancient Jewish sites there is the antique city of Ephesus, the underground city of Derinkuyo and the interesting sites at Cappadocia.
